Tips for arranging a pool at a summer cottage
The pool is a place to go for a swim on hot summer days. Many summer residents make concrete pools on their site. Such designs are considered the most reliable, but they have several disadvantages:
- The water in concrete pools becomes polluted very quickly, so summer residents have to install a filtration system. If cheap filters are used, the water will need to be changed frequently.
- Due to improper arrangement artificial reservoir, on hot days the water evaporates and blooms.
- In order for the water not to go into the soil, you need to waterproof the pool.
Maintenance of such a pool requires a lot of financial and time costs, but if you make a water filtration system, then you can change the water two or three times a year.
Pool arrangement
In order to make a high-quality filtration system, it is necessary to use a cascade water purification system. Near pool dig a small "bioplato", from which two streams, filled with large pebbles, go into the reservoir.
It is desirable that the water, flowing along the streams, forms a complex of waterfalls. Thus, it will be saturated with oxygen. The longer the artificial streams are, the cleaner and more transparent the water will be.
Filters and pumps are indispensable. They are installed in the center of the "bioplato". Better to use filters from German manufacturers. They can clean a pool with a volume of over 30 m3... In order to clear the pool bowl from branches, specks, midges and any other small debris, a smaller filter is also installed in it.
You can also clean the surface of the water from small debris manually, but it takes a lot of time.
The pool bowl filter removes fine algae from the water surface. They can also be collected with a net, but chemical algaecides should not be used for water purification.
Decorating a pool under a pond
After arranging the filtration system, you can decorate the pool under the pond and install lighting. To do this, its perimeter is laid with artificial or natural stone.
Wooden bridges are laid across the streams. There is no need to remove moss from cascading waterfalls.
Water can be supplied to the pool through a plastic hose decorated to resemble a liana. In such a pool, a wooden ladder is installed, which is previously covered with a protective impregnation.
