Rolling shutters with electric drive: installation features

roll-up gate Rolling shutters - compact design, convenient for installation in garages and other household and industrial premises. Read also about independent production of sliding gates.

Rolling shutter installation types

There are 3 varieties:

  • outside when the guides are visible to the user;
  • surface-mounted installation from the inside - all structures are located on the inside (overhead installation;
  • built-in installation (guides are placed on a support in the opening).

It is important to determine the level of the zero floor before installation, taking into account the further coverage (concrete screed, tiles, paving stones). If you make a mark on the post, the installers, when assembling the gate, will put spacers under the future structure and adjust it in this position.

On objects where a plane difference is detected, which remains as a result of welding, it is required to get rid of it. Plates can be welded or welded seams can be smoothed grinder.

For rolling shutters with an electric drive, it is necessary to determine where the electrical outlet will be made, since it will depend on which side the drive will be on (it is decided in advance when ordering).

Installation features

At the first stage installation of rolling gates the equipment is checked. You should have: two guides - left and right, a twisted canvas, a box with a lid, inside a shaft with an electric drive. There should also be a box with accessories (locking bolts, plastic guides that prevent the canvas from scratching on the box, a switch for electric control, plugs).

Next, mark the horizon line using a laser level, leave marks on the racks.

The bolt rings located on the shaft are distributed evenly along the length of the shaft. Crossbar hangers are attached to them.

If you have an emergency release motor, you will see a connector and a rod that fits into the connector. If you rotate the ring with the handle from the kit, then the lifting occurs in manual mode.

Next, you need to mark and drill a hole for the emergency opening knob. Cut weld beads.

Mark the fastening points 100 mm from the edge of the rail, then in 500 mm increments. Make holes for fixing to the wall (diameter “five”). Drill the front side 11 with a drill for the plug.

To prevent the sealing gum from coming out, roll up the profile by pressing the rubber around the edge.

Mount the guides (along them the canvas will drive into the box). Insert the guides into the legs of the box, left and right. Secure.

After that, work is done with the box and electrical wiring. After that, they throw the canvas into the relay guides (tightly tuck into the guides to the middle). The regel is placed directly on the canvas (inserted only by one side), then they are distributed evenly over the canvas.

At this stage, the canvas can be lowered all the way down. Fasten the bolt locks in the rings and fix with two self-tapping screws. This helps the web to wrap correctly and fix well.

Do not fasten with self-tapping screws at the installation site of the electric motor. Do not fix the last ring with self-tapping screws, because there is a motor inside the shaft, there is a risk of damaging it.

Switch mounting and setting

Connect the wires to the switch. Adjust the movable system: set the end position of opening and closing using the adjustments on the relay motor.A special pin is inserted into the motor and rotates the screw.

The motor has 2 adjustment screws for the upper and lower end positions. It is necessary to achieve the closure of the contact upwards and turn the adjustment screw until the moment of operation. The canvas should go up as much as possible. Do the same with the lower end position.

Make a control check (open and close 3 times).

Close the box with a lid, fix it with self-tapping screws. If the gate is outside, put rivets. Finally, install the rivets on the supports. At the end, a mechanism for emergency unlocking of roller shutters is placed.

Roll goal do not keep heat well, therefore it is not recommended to place them in heated rooms.
