Growing irgi in the country through the eyes of professionals

growing irgi in the country Growing irgi in the country does not require special knowledge and efforts from the gardener. To help young summer residents advice from professional gardeners.

Growing irgi in the country from planting to harvest

Irga is planted in a hole 40-50 cm by 40-50 cm, planting deeper so that it forms a strong root system. At 3-4 years old, the stems are tied to the plant so that they grow vertically without decaying.

When growing irgi, you need to make sure that it does not grow much in breadth and upward (cutting off the side branches and tops of the tree). Then growing irgi in the country can also have a decorative value, especially when it blooms. Many people confuse irgu with bird cherry, but these are different berries in taste, color and properties.

Loose soils are not suitable for plants with a shallow root system. At the same time, the irga keeps well and grows on dense, clay soil, which is better processed and enriched with mineral fertilizing, black soil and peat.

Irga grows in one place for 20 - 25 years, but it happens up to 50 - 60 years.

Proven options for feeding for irgi:

  1. Mineral dressing before flowering - with urea (2 tablespoons per bucket of water, 2 buckets are enough).
  2. Stronger top dressing, which include fertilizers - nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and trace elements (2 tablespoons per 10 liters of water - spill after a light rain or in dry weather).
  3. Slurry (1 liter mullein per 10 liters water and 1 glass of wood ash during fruiting).
  4. Horse manure, but only fermented in a compost pit and mixed with soil so as not to burn the root system.
  5. Before flowering - foliar dressing "Bud" (for better flowering, so that there would be large fruits).
  6. When green berries appear - "Energen" (growth stimulator - 1 capsule of the product per 10 liters of water). Spray fruits and leaves.

After each feeding, irga is watered with clean water, especially in hot weather.

Pest control when growing irgi

Pests:

  • Irga moth (caterpillar) spoils foliage;
  • currant leafworm eats foliage;
  • birds: mainly fieldbirds and some other small birds, sometimes mice.

In the fight against pests, processing helps - it is carried out before flowering or after harvesting.

When processing is used - "Spark double effect" (1 tab. - 10 g per 10 liters of water). You can also add a little tar soap there, and then process the foliage of the tree.

Different, rustling and noisy bright visual scarers help from birds. They can be hung on a tree (plastic bags, empty cans).

If you grow irga with fertilizing with mineral mixtures, then from one tree you can collect up to 3 - 5 kg of berries annually.

If you do not water the game in dry weather, the fruits will be dry, small and firm.
