Chrysanthemum wintering

Wintering place chrysanthemums choose at their own discretion. There she will rest and gain strength before the next flowering period. Chrysanthemums of some varieties winter well in the open field, provided additional shelter is provided. To prevent the plant from freezing, the branches must be cut, the bush must be covered with earth or leaves and covered with a film on top.

Features of caring for chrysanthemums during the growing season

In order for the potted chrysanthemums to begin the growing season already in the first days of spring, the flower should be transplanted into a larger pot, completely changing the soil. Young plants need to be replanted annually, and adults once every two years. Flowers are fertilized two weeks after transplantation.
Place the pot with the transplanted flower on a well-lit windowsill or plant it in open ground. But for the winter, dig up the chrysanthemum, put it back in the pot and put it back in the room.
