In addition, the formation and further growth of the root system is accelerated.

This fertilizer is used not only for flowers on windowsills. Irises, peonies, chrysanthemums, gladioli and even a rose growing on flower beds will respond with gratitude to bread dressings with long flowering.

How to make and apply fertilizer from bread

For the preparation of fertilizer, both fresh and dried or dried bread are used. White, black or rye bread will do. If old pieces have mold, they can also be used. This type of mold does not take root on plants and will not harm them.

Place the slices of bread in a large saucepan or bowl and cover with water. Press down the bread crusts on top so that they do not float, and put the workpiece in a warm place for a week. Strain the finished solution through cheesecloth and slightly dilute with water. Watering young plants in the active growth phase under the root.

Bread fertilizer is used with caution and in limited quantities for diseased plants. It is also not recommended to often feed adult, already formed bushes. This can provoke a growth arrest.

To compensate for the lack of calcium, which is absorbed during fermentation, it is recommended to add ash along with the bread solution.

To make a starter from a dry product, mix:

  • 1 tsp dry yeast;
  • 1.5 tbsp. l. Sahara;
  • 5 liters of water.

The container with the sourdough is wrapped and placed in heat for 2-3 hours to start the fermentation process. Dilute the finished infusion with water: 5 liters of water for 1 liter of starter culture.

To prepare a solution from fresh yeast, it is necessary to dilute 200 g of yeast in 1 liter. water and insist. Before use, dilute the infusion in a ratio of 1: 10.
