The golden vein of the garden is sea buckthorn

Youth, health and sea buckthorn are so closely related that many consider it their duty to plant a plant in the country. For the planned enterprise to be successful, you need to purchase several copies. Since this variety is dioecious, there are 3-4 female saplings for one male sapling. For this reason, there should be several bushes on the site at once.

In the second half of April, planting begins, while the buds have not yet blossomed. The weather is cloudy and not hot: before or after rain.

The uniqueness of the landing technology

In the nursery you can buy 3 different varieties: Alei - male, but Altai and Elizaveta - it is better to take female ones. This collection should be diluted with the usual varieties. As a result, you get five luxurious bushes.

It should be borne in mind that the roots of the plant grow strongly on the site and are located close to the surface. Any damage to them leads to serious disturbances in the life of the plant. Therefore, specimens are planted on the outskirts of the cottage, in a place where construction / digging is not planned. After that, they move on to land work:

• hole parameters: depth 40-60 cm, and width 50 cm;
• drainage: 10 cm layer of broken brick;
• rotted compost;
• ash (necessary for soil deoxidation);
• horse dung;
• mix the substrate thoroughly with a shovel;
• pour a bucket of water;
• install 2 wooden battens in each hole.

Carefully remove the seedling from the pot, moisten the soil in advance. They make a small hill in the hole and put a plant on it. In this case, the roots are gently straightened. Fall asleep with earth to the root neck, watering abundantly. With the help of a rope, they tie the trunk to the supports. First, they wrap one stake, weave a braid of two threads, fix the tree, and at the end they tie it to the second bar. Sprinkle on top with dolomite flour and spread a layer mulch... Then the weeds cannot germinate. It also helps to retain moisture in the soil.

For sea buckthorn, a sunny but slightly windy area is selected. The soil is not acidic, but moist. The groundwater level is from 1 m or more, since the plant does not tolerate stagnation.

A big difference

To distinguish between male and female seedlings, you need to carefully consider them. The whole secret is in the size of the kidneys. Pollinators are 2-3 times more pollinated. They are also covered with a large number of scales: from 5 to 7 layers. Such a comparison is advised to be carried out only with 3-year-old specimens when they enter the fruiting stage.

The plant is considered wind-pollinated, therefore, when planting, the direction of the wind on the site is taken into account. When planting them hardly, specimens of the male type are placed at the end / beginning of the line. When creating a rectangular or round garden, they should be in the middle.

If the gardener wants to transplant his sea buckthorn, then he should dig a bush with a large rhizome. This leads to the fact that you have to cut off the roots, and therefore the ground part of the plant. This planting technology is used by many gardeners, and therefore is successful.
