Janice Brown Delicate Daylily

Please tell us about Janice Brown's daylily. How does it bloom and are there any special requirements for caring for the flower? I have several varieties, I would like to know how it will fit into their company.

janice brown Lush daylilies with their abundant and colorful flowering increasingly began to appear in flower beds with flower growers. In addition to beautiful buds, these crops are also quite unpretentious, which only fuels interest in them. Who does not want to grow a flower that will grow "by itself" with minimal intervention? One of these plants is the Janice Brown daylily variety.

Description of the varietydaylily bush

Day-lily Janice Brown belongs to the low representatives of this magnificent plant: the height of the bush in adulthood does not exceed 55 cm. The leaves of the herbaceous perennial are long and narrow, emerald green.

In the middle of summer, among the xiphoid foliage, erect dense flower stalks shoot, on the tops of which delicate inflorescences bloom. Their diameter is about 11 cm, and delicate tones prevail in the color: the corrugated petals of light pink in the center become more saturated. The throat of the flower has a characteristic yellow color.

One young bush is capable of producing up to 2 dozen peduncles.

Janice Brown is one of the most resistant mid-early hybrid varieties: it rarely gets sick and hibernates well in the open field even without additional shelter, withstanding frosts at minus 30 degrees. The bush is also not picky about the planting site and is able to develop and bloom even in partial shade. It is noteworthy that in one place the plant can live up to 10 years and before 5 years of age it is not worth starting to transplant it - that is how much time is needed for the daylily to gain the maximum "splendor" of the crown.

To make the flowering more abundant, and the color of the variety to unfold in all its glory, it is still better to plant the daylily on the well-lit side of the site.

For the rest, caring for the variety does not differ from other types, namely:

  1. Abundant watering at the root (promotes the setting of more buds).
  2. Dividing the bush as it grows (helps maintain the abundance of flowering and prevents the rosette from thickening).

You can start transplanting and dividing the daylily in early spring or immediately when it fades. It is recommended to lay a small layer at the bottom of the hole compost with peat, and after planting, mulch with rotted manure.

It is impossible to deeply deepen the root collar, 2 cm is enough, otherwise it can lead to the fact that the delenka will start to hurt.

You don't need to cover the bush for the winter - it will winter well and so on. The leaves are not trimmed either. If desired, the bush is slightly mulched with fallen leaves.
