In addition, the top of the mulch from rotted sawdust retains moisture well. The smell of sawdust, perhaps, knocks down an onion fly. For me, this pest always spoils part of the crop, but for Valery everything is clean. The bed is very comfortable, easy to care for and clean around. Next season I will try to fill one ridge with compost, which I have been preparing all summer from plant residues using EM-1. Sawdust is also not a problem, you can find a lot of them around sawmills, you just have to sift. To quickly prepare you can spill a little urea solution, destroy the smell of turpentine.
