Component for compost. Place the branches at the bottom of the compost heap. They will enrich it with useful substances.
The bottom layer in warm beds. Here you don't even need to grind the shoots very much if they are thin. The branches will help raise the bed, and after a couple of years they will turn into fertilizer.
Mulch. Fill in the aisles, near-trunk circles of trees and shrubs. Then the plants will not evaporate moisture so quickly. And if you mulch the garden paths with shredded shoots, weeds will not grow on them.
